Washburn University recently awarded the April Student Life Achieving Excellence Award to Sarah Cook, associate professor, mathematics.
Cook was nominated by a student. In the nomination, the student expressed how comfortable Cook's classroom atmosphere was and how the availability of Cook "at almost any time" was significant in this student's success.
The Student Life Achieving Excellence Award is an ongoing award presented to a student advisor, faculty or staff member, or community leader who demonstrates excellence in working with individual students, student groups and organizations and who reflects the guiding principles of the student life area.
