High school students learn about careers in law

Twenty-one Kansas high school students attended the Pre-legal Camp for students curious about law as a career. Pre-legal Camp was July 15-17 at Washburn University.   

At Pre-legal Camp students experienced teaching methods of legal education, guest presentations from practicing lawyers and law students, toured the Kansas Supreme Court, Judicial Center, Kansas State Capitol and Brown vs. Board of Education National Historic site, and competed in a mock trial. Washburn University political science department and School of Law faculty provided program instruction.
